When Mary and I first began discussing her wedding, she let me know that she had chosen a location owned by a family friend. I have to admit, this made me a bit nervous. Since they were using the months prior to Mary and CW’s wedding for their renovations and planning, we couldn’t go view the venue beforehand, so I had no idea what I would be walking in to! As soon as I turned down the winding, mile-long driveway at River City Farms, though, I knew everything would be perfect.
This plantation home and 50+ acre horse farm has been set up to host weddings of any size, and since Mary is one of 8 children in her family, it’s a good thing River City Farms is able to accommodate large groups! My second shooter and I had no problems finding quaint outdoor locations (like the original greenhouse) and large light-filled rooms to photograph the wedding details.
As you’ll see in the following images, Mary & CW’s wedding was a beautiful, family-oriented event, and I’m so thankful that I am the photographer they chose to capture this day for them!
