This recent freezing cold weather has me daydreaming about all of this year’s upcoming outdoor weddings and receptions, so I decided to blog about it! We are blessed here in South Carolina to have about 9 months of warm (okay, sometimes crazy hot) weather, perfect for celebrating outdoors. So here, in no particular order, are my favorite outdoor wedding venues in Columbia, SC.
The Millstone at Adams Pond
When thinking of outdoor wedding venues in Columbia, SC, my mind immediately pictures the Millstone at Adam’s Pond. It also boasts a beautiful and unique indoor area for cooling off and enjoying your reception. This venue is secluded, and is one of the only Midlands wedding venues that features Spanish Moss, which is one of my favorite things about this location!
River Road and Jasmine House
I have 3 weddings booked for 2016 at The River Road and Jasmine House, and can’t wait! The location near Irmo and Harbison makes it a favorite among many brides looking for outdoor wedding venues in Columbia!
The Lace House and Gardens
Right in the middle of Downtown Columbia, is the gorgeous Lace House and Gardens. The wrought iron features and intricate gardens create the perfect backdrop for any Southern wedding, and create an intimate atmosphere in a very convenient location.
Wavering Place Plantation
Wavering Place Plantation is as close to Tara as you can get, without watching Gone With the Wind. Spanish Moss, antebellum architecture, beautiful Magnolias, and tons of outdoor space make this one of my favorite outdoor wedding venues in Columbia, SC.
Stone River
Stone River is right on the banks of the Congaree River. The famous Gervais Street Bridge and Downtown Columbia serve as the backdrop here, making it one of the best outdoor wedding venues in Columbia, SC.
So there you have it! My favorite outdoor wedding venues in Columbia, SC. Stay warm this winter, and enjoy planning your warm weather wedding!
The River Road and Jasmine House is for sure one of my all time favorite to play!
Great photos of some perfect SC venues!
Thanks so much!

Thanks, Corey! We have so many great ones near Columbia, it’s hard to narrow it down! 🙂
