Columbia, SC is known for being “Famously Hot”, so thank goodness for the many beautiful indoor wedding venues offered in town! I know I already posted just a few of my favorite outdoor venues, but sometimes the weather is just too intense to celebrate outside. Without further ado, let me share with you 5 of my favorite indoor wedding venues in Columbia!
Right in downtown Columbia, 701 Whaley is the perfect blank canvas for your wedding. Exposed brick, floor to ceiling windows, and a grand staircase all add to the elegant, bright, but modern feel of this wedding ceremony and reception space!
The Columbia Museum of Art is truly a one of a kind indoor wedding venue. Its layout offers endless possibilities for your wedding, whether you’re planning a large event, or a smaller, more intimate affair.
City Art is a beautiful space for your indoor wedding in Columbia. Right in the Vista, with walls adorned by contemporary artwork, and the self-proclaimed “best dance floor in Columbia”, it’s easy to see why this is one of my favorite indoor venues in the area!
The SC State Museum is another indoor venue offering endless possibilities for your wedding. Between the Main Lobby which can seat 500 guests, the Mezzanine overlooking the Main Lobby, the Observatory, and the Vista Room, you can create exactly the wedding you want within the walls of this old Mill building.
Senate’s End offers a variety of indoor and outdoor event spaces, but I am especially drawn to The Hall and Wedding Garden. Now, this is more of an indoor and outdoor wedding venue, depending on what you want to do with the space. The Bridal Suite in the Manor House overlooks the Wedding Garden, and the exposed barrel ceilings in The Hall offer a fabulous rustic-meets-industrial look to any wedding decor!
Regardless which venue you choose for your wedding, you can’t go wrong with any of these locations! Of course, there are many other great venues, and I will be featuring more of my favorites in future blog posts. Tell me in the comments section, which wedding venues in Columbia, SC are your favorites?
