Natalie and Chaz’s engagement session was no easy task to schedule after all of this year’s rain! After rescheduling numerous times due to this year’s record rainfall and flooding, we finally lucked out with a weekend day when they were available, and we met in Peak, SC at the Alston Trailhead for their plaid- and pumpkin- themed engagement session! It was a chilly day, and pretty overcast, but with their good looks and my knowledge of lighting, we had no trouble capturing exactly what they had envisioned for their engagement portraits.
Natalie and Chaz met while he was in school at the University of South Carolina, and they fell in love over their shared enthusiasm for the Gamecocks, particularly Gamecock football, so a fall-themed, engagement session during football season was completely ideal for them!
We spent an hour or two trekking around the Alston Trailhead, and Chaz and Natalie were awesome! They were totally game for all of the poses and locations I suggested, and trusted that even though there were at least 5 other sessions occurring here at the time, I knew how to photograph them as if they had the whole place to themselves. This location is very popular for Columbia, SC photographers, but there is plenty of room for everyone!
